Bacitracin is a bactericidal antibiotic belongs to polypeptide group . It produces its antimicrobial effect by inhibition theformation of cell wall peptidoglycan by complexing directly with pyrophosphate carrier & inhibiting the dephosphorylation reaction required for regeneration . it has activity against G+ve bacteria including Clostridium perfringens.
