Composition
Imidocarb dipropionate is a derivative of the carbanilide antiprotozoals
Dosage
RESTRAINTS: DO NOT USE in lactating cows where milk or milk products may be used for human consumption. Precaution: Avoid intravenous administration. The injection site should be swabbed clean with antiseptic prior to dosing. Stability studies have demonstrated Imidox Injection is stable for at least 28 days following .rst use, providing aseptic technique is followed. Use the contents of the vial within 28 days of initial broaching and discard any unused portion. Babesiosis: Prevention and sterilisation: 2.5 mL per 100 kg bodyweight by subcutaneous injection. Imidox Injection provides protection against babesiosis for up to 4 weeks. Treatment: 1 mL per 100 kg bodyweight by subcutaneous injection. Very severe cases may require a second dose 24 hours following the .rst injection. Anaplasmosis: 2.5 mL per 100 kg bodyweight by subcutaneous injection.
