Pharmacological Group : Antibiotics

Indication

It is used for treatment of: Calves: Gastrointestinal tract infection caused by E. coli and Salmonella spp. Susceptible to Streptomycin. Broiler chickens: Non-specific infectious enteritis caused by organisms susceptible to Streptomycin

Withdrawl Period

Calves meat: 2 days / Broiler chickens: 4 days

Composition

Each 1 g contains: Streptomycin Sulfate ……………..626.39 mg. (Eq. to Streptomycin base 500 mg).

Packaging

White plastic ( HDPE) container sealed with aluminum seal lined inside by ( HDPE) plastic film closed by white plastic ( HDPE) vap with outer label.

Dosage

Route of administration: Orally via drinking water Calves: 40-100 mg of the product / kg b. wt. every 12 hours for 3-4 days. Broiler chickens: 0.04 – 0.06 g of the product / kg b. wt. ( i.e 0.4 – 0.6 g of the product / liter drinking water). For 3-5 days.

Contra-indication

Not to be used in animal hypersensitive to Not to be used in animals with renal failure. Do not to be used in chickens producing eggs for human consumption
