Amoxicillin is similar to penicillin in its bactericidal action against susceptible bacteria during the stage of active multiplication. It acts through the inhibition of cell wall biosynthesis that leads to the death of the bacteria. Gentamicin is a bactericidal antibiotic that works by irreversibly binding the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, interrupting protein synthesis. UNIMOX GENTAMICIN is indicated for treatment of infections of alimentary, respiratory, and urogenital tracts caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria such as: E.coli, Clostridia, Salmonella, Proteus, Coryne bacteria, Listeria, Pasteurella, Staphylococci, Streptococci., Pseudomonas and Klebsiella.
